Late-night assault on Worksop teen

A TEENAGER was hospitalised with a serious face injury after being attacked by two men in an attempted robbery.

The 19-year-old was walking alone along Sandy Lane, Worksop, close to Batty's Multi Market at about 1am on last Saturday.

Two offenders broke away from a group of about eight men, punched the victim and tried to steal cash from him. He was taken to Bassetlaw Hosptial for treatment.

One offender is described as white, clean-shaven, about 18-years-old and about 5ft 8ins tall. He is of slim build with short, dark brown hair and blue eyes.

The other offender is white, unshaven, aged about 17 and 5ft 8ins tall. He is of a stockier build with short, dark hair. He was wearing a jumper and jeans at the time.
