TEMPERATURES soared to 32c today as Worksop folk headed out to enjoy the sunshine.
And they should make the most of it because the Met Office is predicting the weather to break with heavy downfalls forecast for across the area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Residents are also being advised to treat the sun with caution after an increase in children being admitted to Bassetlaw Hospital with severe sunburn.

A spokesman for Bassetlaw and Doncaster Hospital Trust, said the fine weather has led to an increase of cases.

"What seems to be happening is that it's overcast in the morning when the child goes to school or college but the sun comes out later and they get burnt."

"Our advice is to check the weather forecasts and even if its dull when leaving for school, 'slap on' the sun screen. It's better to have it on and not need it than the other way around."

Notts Police have also reported an increase in reported incidents doubling in the fine weather.
