THE cold and dark nights might be drawing in but here is something to smile about with this weeks’s fantastic competition to win a pair of tickets to Gainsborough’s Hoot Comedy Club night.
A quartet of the finest comedians will be heading to the Trinity Arts Centre on Thursday 11th October for the comedy club’s latest instalment.
Back by popular demand in Gainsborough will be Sol Bernstein who was described by the Guardian as ‘one part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks and three part like nothing else you’ve ever heard - a great new comic creation’.
Wonder at the indomitable storytelling wizardry of the man who forged showbiz relationships with a host of entertainment legends from Sinatra to Sinitta and Doris Day to Eddie Large.
The night will also feature performances from comedians Dan Bland, David McAndrew, Jim Bayes and resident compere Elliot J Huntley.
Tickets for the 8pm show are priced £6 in advance and £7 on the door - call the box office on 01427 676655 for more information.
There will also be a Happy Hour, from 7-8pm, where draught beer, lager, cider, wine, or a short and mixer are all £2.
To be in with the chance of winning a pair of tickets for the show, simply answer the following question: Q) Which comedian will be headlining the show? Mark your answer ‘Hoot Comedy Club Competition’ and send your entry along with a daytime contact number to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to The Gainsborough Standard, 5-7 Market Place, Gainsborough, DN21 2BP.
