Regal comedy club is back...

The Worksop Regal will re-launch its popular comedy night on the first Friday of every month starting next Friday.

Hosting the nights will be one of its former regular MCs Elliot J Huntley who takes over long term presenting duties from Anthony J. Brown.

“I am excited to be involved again,” said Elliot.“I always used to enjoy compering the comedy night at the Regal. The audiences were always good, always raucous - in a nice way - and always up for a drink and a good laugh.”

“ It was a good night out, basically. In fact, I always thought it was one of the better comedy clubs in the North of England.”

First up on Friday 1st March will be The Freaks Outing Show.

A regular performer at the Regal and The Frog and Nightgown, Freaks Outing (aka Richard Lilley) has always been something of a Worksop favourite.

It is a unique variety show spectacular. Dark, twisted, outrageous song parodies performed from the perspective of a dozen or more fictitious characters, each with its own image, back story and musical style.

Doors will be open at 7pm.

Tickets are priced £5 and can be bought from the Young Potential charity shop on Carlton Road or at the Worksop Regal on the night. If you’ve got what it takes to perform comedy on the Regal stage, contact the venue.
