NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard

TWO new one-act plays have taken the place of the previously scheduled Trivial Pursuits at The Old Nick Theatre next week.

From Monday 26th November until Saturday 1st December, Gainsborough Theatre Company will perform two lovely little plays by local writer Kim Newby.

The first is Wardrobe Wars, directed by Alan Ayris.

Jack is on a mission to find just the right one for his wife as the mother-in-law is staying over.

With best intentions he finds the shopping search a stressful and hideous experience.

A Day To Remember, directed by Gill Blow, is set on Sue’s birthday.

She fancies a day out to remember - a surprise trip.

When Brian takes her on that trip there is a fun twist and lots of laughs along the way.

The show runs on dates from 26th November to 2nd December 2012. Doors open at 7pm for a start time of 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 full or £7 concessions. Book now at the box office on 01427 810616. It is open 12 noon-4pm Mon day to Friday.

Next month, the Mirror Image Youth Theatre will perform family favourite Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The show runs from Wednesday 5th - Saturday 8th December.

Ticket prices and show times are still to be confirmed.
