COOKS AROUND TOWN - Curry at Valley School

The Guardian's COOKS AROUND TOWN were invited to Valley School to demonstrate their hugely successful Simple Chicken Curry - but it was the pupils who decided how spicy it would be!

Tracy Powell and Chris Burton showed the Year 9 students at Valley how to create a curry and pilau rice and got the kids involved in all aspects of the process.

Then it was over to the pupils themselves as they took up the school's Olympic Cooking Challenge and planned, cooked and served their own two course meal.

Tracy and Chris joined forces with Valley headteacher Brian Rossiter to judge their efforts and to pick a winner from the nine teams.
