I once heard a radio presenter on a national radio station say, “worse than a wet weekend in Worksop”.
Having lived in Worksop now for three years, I can honestly say, the presenter got it wrong. Worksop is great, even on a wet weekend. The people are friendly, we have got magnificent countryside around us and a buzzing town centre. But the best thing about this town is: God loves Worksop. He loves it so much that he sent his son Jesus to die for it. How do I know that as truth? Because of the way I see so many lives changed by his love in this town. Come along to church, get to know Jesus and find out how your life can be transformed too. Reverend Captain Tim Stanford, St John’s Church, Worksop
