TODAY this sort of thing would probably be classed as Sexist, but in the late 40s early 50s, nobody thought anything of a group of gentlemen going on a trip where no ladies were allowed.
The Gentleman’s Trip as it was known, was an annual event and on this particular year the group met at the Canon pub on Carlton Road in Worksop. Destination unknown.
The gentleman in the centre of the photo with his arms crossed is believed to be Harry Cheadle.
The photo was kindly brought into us by Jean Cheadle, of Worksop.
