LETTER: Disabled Scooters - Rollerskates could be used - and it’s cheaper

All this palaver about electric scooters. Anyone can buy one!

If you are disabled you can hire one, paid by disabled pension allowance. If you damage the vehicle, and it also includes motor vehicles they take it back off you, claiming damage expenses, then they repair it and hire it out to someone else. Same routine if you die or can no longer use it. Many people buy electric scooters simply because they are unable to walk very far and for others it is cheaper than a motor car. I suppose roller skates could be used instead if your legs are good enough and it would be very cheap, and you could leave them outside the shops!
