So, if you want to drive into town to watch the latest Hollywood tripe at Worksop’s shortly to be opened cinema, you’ll be able to park up for free.

Great idea.

But if you want to drive into town to pump your heard-earned moolah into one of the many local businesses, you’ll have to continue to pay for parking.

That’s not fair.

Why is the cinema getting specialist treatment?

If I was a town centre trader I’d be well and truly narked by this news.

Come one Bassetlaw Council, prove you are serious about rejuvenating Worksop town centre and make ALL parking free.
