I’M told that it’s National Vegetarian Week this week.

Howz hat, eh?

Cricket is synonymous with many things.

Hip hip hip hooray

EVERYONE got a bit giddy as usual this week because the sun came out.

Time travellers

I SEE Serlby Park Junior School pupils recently had a day of fun dressing up in Victorian costumes.

What parking ban?

I POPPED into town on Tuesday - the first day of the Bridge Street/Bridge Place parking ban - hoping to enjoy to enjoy a car-free shopping experience. Fat chance.

RECENT events suggest there are some people in the Worksop area with minds as bent as the trajectory of a David Beckham free kick.

The life of a drug baron

IF you want to remain inconspicuous it’s probably best not to live in a huge sprawling pad like this. Especially in Dinnington.

Magic Maureen

ANYONE see the story in the Guardian last week about Valley dinner lady Maureen Marrow who is retiring after 40 years?

Winds of change at Bassetlaw Council

Fighting for the rights of those in need

Having failed to send any of their staff to a meeting with disabled groups in Worksop that I helped convene, Notts County Council have now pressed ahead with their restrictions on parking in Bridge Street without the very sensible and modest compromise that the meeting proposed.

Public safety priority

Insp Steve Cartwright - Worksop Police.

We will bring justice

In recent weeks, I have been reflecting on my first year leading the Neighbourhood Police Teams in West Bassetlaw, reviewing our performance and looking forward to the next 12 months.
