The Zutons rock out

BLACK clouds dominated the skies for The Zutons' gig at Sherwood Pines.
After the previous night’s glorious weather which greeted veteran rockers Crowded House, the audience was somewhat drenched by the lashing rain but that did nothing to dampen the spirits of the audience who lapped up the night’s rock repertoire.
Headliners The Zutons took to the stage, treating us to some definite growers from new album You Can Do It.
The crowd went wild as Scouse lead singer Dave McCabe belted out the band’s most successful hit to date, Valerie, also made famous by the collaboration between Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse.
McCabe was very much at ease with his audience, making several jokes to help us forget about the rain, and saxophonist Abi Harding, brilliant as always, looked stunning in a navy dress.
The band then played Always Right Behind You and You Will You Won’t - bringing a wet but electrically stunning evening to a memorable close.
