IF YOU have always wondered how much that antique item hidden away in your loft is, now is the time to find out.
Curious antique lovers are encouraged to come along to Worksop's very own Antique Roadshow, which will set up its stall at the Acorn Theatre on Friday 16th May.

Two valuers from Bonhams of Retford will be hand to examine your prized possessions a
nd deliver their verdict.

Mary Abel, president for the Inner Wheel - the club organsing the event - said the roadshow was the first of its kind for the town and promised visitors an enjoyable, eye-opening day.

"If you look through your attic and see anything of value, let the experts have a look at it," she said. "All the proceeds go to charity, so it's for a great cause."

The club raises money for various local projects and overseas charities, and holds several fundraising events throughout the year, including a popular flower show.

Valuation fees are £2 for one item or £5 for three items, and refreshments will be available throughout the event, which lasts from 10am-3pm.

For more information about the event - to be held at the Acorn Theatre on Queens Street - and the Inner Wheel call Mrs Abel on 01909 486251.
