HI there to all in Worksop.
I love this page, love going onto The Guardian Today site, well done guys!

I love reading about all the goings on. Grundi, please keep it up!

I left Worksop some 48 years ago, with my parents, Ron and Mary Thomas.

We emigrated to sunny S.A. (Modbury) but I now live in Perth. I have a soft spot for Worksop and the many rellies and friends I left behind.

That's the hardest part, so I have travelled back there many times.

Very little changes there, but that is comforting. I can walk up Sparken Hill where we played as kids, to the Canch, except the swimming pool's gone now.

The library, nursery, please don't change any of that area, we ex-pats love the memories!

Living in Perth is like living in Paradise, but good old Worksop still tugs at the heartstrings! Maureen Squires (originally of Pelham St.)
