When Rockfords’ ruled OK

Netherholme Shopping Precinct where Rockfords Nightclub once stood

ANYBODY who was a teenager during the 80s will remember Rockfords Nightclub, situated in Netherholme Shopping Precinct, which is now the Priory Centre.

The nightclub was one of the most popular around and used to open its doors to the those under 18 on a Monday night as well as at weekends to those old enough to drink.

On the right of the photo is Tesco, which has also been Kwiksave, and to the left is The Music Centre.

Now, of course, Wilkinson store takes pride of place in the shopping precinct along with a lot of other top names to bring us a whole new and modern shopping experience.
