PUPILS and staff at Dinnington Comprehensive School were being kept under observation after a 15 year old was admitted to hospital with Meningitis.
But Rotherham Community Health Specialist Dr S. Mahadevan said that although the virus was of the type which can result in an epidemic, he was satisfied that the case was an isolated incident and there was no danger to other children.
“We have had about six or seven isolated cases in the district over the past year, close contacts have been given treatment and kept under surveillance”.
