Priory School in the 1950s

This picture was sent in by Robin Bower, a former Worksop resident who now lives in Canada.

It was taken around 1952 or 1953 at the Priory school in Worksop.

Robin is on the back row, second from the left.

The school, founded in the 16th Century, was the first elementary school in England and at that time the children were taught in the Priory Gatehouse.
