Thanks for poppy support
ONCE again I must thank the people of Worksop and the surrounding areas.
The three cadet forces, Worksop College, The Masonic Lodge, (Worksop), the clubs, pubs and supermarkets, the little shops, Mr J. Ruggles who stands along selling and my own loyal band of helpers who not only sell poppies in supermarkets but also distribute and collect during and after the Poppy Appeal.
Without these people we would not be able to do the appeal in Worksop, so to each and everyone of you I owe you all a very big thank you.
The amount raised so far for the 2011-12 Poppy Appeal is £23,541.35. Donations can be made at any time throughout the year and cheques made out to RBL Poppy Appeal, and sent to me: Brian Madden, 16 Dadley Road, Carlton-in-Lindrick, Worksop, Notts S81 9LY. Once again I thank each and everyone, I know times are hard and money is tight for everyone but let’s see if we can break the £25,000 mark next year and really put Worksop on the map!
