I hope Tesco is never built

I WOULD like to respond to the ‘Anonymous’ Tesco Supporter who wrote in last week`s Guardian.

Has she or he been on the footpath where the lady was mugged ?

From an open path it has become a narrow dark alleyway after Tesco erected an 8-ft wall.

Also there used to be a well lit footpath across the site from South Parade to Carlton Road which was closed off as soon as Tesco acquired the site.

From day one Tesco have treated the residents and local community with contempt. I (of many) hope this store is never built.
