Build staion on car park
I wish to show my support for a new bus station in Worksop.
The present bus station is atrocious especially in winter and is dangerous for young children queuing at the side of the road. Years ago we used to have a bus station where you could wait inside, now elderly people are standing outside in the cold and rain with no seating.
I think the ideal place would be where the council car park is on Central Avenue further down from where the bus station is at the moment. People would only have to walk a bit further to the bus station than they do now and it would be central for everybody. The car park is already owned by the council so they could build on there as there is plenty of space. The present depot could still be used for repairs etc. Let’s hope that the new bus station soon gets built.
