Open day a ‘huge success’

Gainsborough Standard open day

Gainsborough Standard open day

THANK YOU to all of those who attended our first open day at the offices of the Gainsborough Standard.

On Friday 20th January, a large number of Standard readers came along to chat with editorial staff to have their views heard.

“The open day was a huge success,” said Standard editor Chris Burton.

“It was wonderful to see so many of our loyal readers making the most of the opportunity to come through our doors to have their say about a wide range of topics.”

He continued: “Not only did local residents come along and share their news and views on the issues that are important, but also shared some very valuable feedback on the paper.”

“We have taken immediate action on the feedback given, and have made changes to reflect your wishes, for instance introducing a new contents panel on page 2 this week.”

Chris added: “We pride ourselves on being a quality paper at the heart of the community, and your opinions do matter to us.”

“If there’s something you’d like to see more of in our paper or any other suggestions or queries that you’d like to raise, we’d love to hear them.”

The next Gainsborough Standard open day will be Thursday 2nd February from 9.30am - 2pm.

Goody bags and free refreshments will be available.

The Standard’s offices can be found in the town centre at 5-7 Market Place, Gainsborough, DN21 2BP (next-door to Natwest).

If you are unable to attend the open day but would still like to have your say, then you can write to us at the above address or email us at newsroom@gainsboroughstandard.co.uk
