Over many years it appears that some church-goers have created the impression that people affiliated to Jesus are required to give up normal life. They may well be seen as becoming judgmental and opinionated. It’s sad, but on the streets we are often seen as a bunch of miserable old gits. I can at times lean towards being grumpy, so a friend sent me a poem that I now offer in the hope it will brighten your day: ‘I wish I were a glow worm, A glow worm’s never glum, Cos how can you be grumpy, When the sun shines out your bum.’
