BARLBOROUGH

BARLBOROUGH Heritage and Visitors’ Centre: For the month of November the themed free exhibition will be Barlborough’s War Heroes. The display covers right from the Civil War through the Peninsula war to WW1 And WW11. On display will be original newspaper reports as the families were notified of the wounded, captured, missing, those that had been decorated and the fallen. Extracts from personal letters including photographs along with accounts of the action at the front. Normal opening hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-2pm plus Saturdays 9am-1pm. Our Heritage manager can be contacted on tony.barlboroughrc@live.co.uk and will be able to assist anyone doing family research.
