A BRAVE little girl from Gainsborough has received life-changing treatment to help her overcome her rare condition.

Amelia Goff is just seven-months’old and suffers from severe brachycephaly - also known as flat-head syndrome.

Now, after a huge helping hand from the Tree of Hope children’s charity, baby Amelia has received the expensive treatment that her family otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford.

She’s been living with her corrective helmet for a week now - and her parents feel ‘extremely lucky’.

“She’s been a bit grumpy and a little upset with it but she’s getting better,” said mother Elise Edwards, from Meldrum Drive.

“Amelia is handling it really well as it will take some time to adjust to.”

She continued: “It was awful to see her upset, but when we look at what it will mean in the long-run, we know we’ve done the right thing, and we just feel lucky that she’s been given this life-changing chance.”

Now, Elise and partnet Andy Goff are doing all they can to raise money for other children in a similar position.

“To help all those other children out there who can’t be as lucky as she is -please come forward with whatever you can give.”
