John Snowden : Obituary

MR J. SNOWDEN (of Shireoaks) AFTER a long illness, Mr John Snowden has passed away at Bassetlaw Hospital, aged 85. Born in Harthill and a resident locally for 50 years, he lived on Walnut Avenue in Shireoaks and leaves his wife Joyce. Prior to his retirement, John worked at Shireoaks Colliery where he was a winder and enjoyed his spare time caravanning, gardening and walking. The funeral service, held at Sherwood Forest Crematorium, Ollerton was conducted by Rev Jackie Allen.
